Situated in a refurbished whaling-era building, the Waypoint Event Center is the perfect blend of old and new. With 3,000 square feet of function space, the Waypoint Event Center is the most unique venue on the Southcoast for corporate parties, seminars, tradeshows, meetings, and group training.

Our in-house catering professionals will work with you every step of the way to ensure your event is executed perfectly. With over 60 years of hospitality experience, Lafrance Hospitality company would like to welcome you to host your next event at the Waypoint Event Center.

With 3,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, your attendees will be immersed in the rich history that is the working waterfront of New Bedford. Our SeaLoft boasts cathedral ceilings with exposed stone walls, with an overlooking executive suite. For smaller meetings, the Vineyard Room can also be divided into East Chop & West Chop for breakout sessions. Perfect for strategic planning sessions, we offer the Cuttyhunk and Seaview Boardrooms as well.


The SeaLoft

offers a truly unique space that is steeped in history. The original stone walls and cathedral ceilings with exposed wood beams add a touch of rustic flair to this modern space. The SeaLoft can accommodate events up to 150 people.

 

The Outdoor Patio

and water fountain and outdoor patio areas offer a semi- private space to host a cocktail reception or respite for your guests. If weather is a concern, we can offer additional space indoors.


The Vineyard Room

located adjacent to the SeaLoft provides ample space for cocktail receptions, meetings, or breakout space. With movable walls, and ample space, this room is flexible to your needs.

 

Historic New Bedford Harbor

and downtown attractions are just across the street and offer a setting like no other. Out of town guests are within walking distance to the city’s most revered dining and attractions.

Adjoining the Waypoint Event Center is the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, where your attendees can rest easy in one of our 106 guest rooms. Complimentary high speed internet is provided, in addition to a business center, guest laundry, complimentary hot breakfast, indoor pool, & Jacuzzi.
